Gender Equality & Organized Crime Module Launch

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) together with the UN Women training center have joined efforts to design the module 17- of its self-paced training series – I Know Gender on Gender and Organized Crime. The overall objective of this Introductory Gender Equality & Organized Crime Course is to develop and/or strengthen knowledge, understanding and awareness of basic concepts related to gender equality and women’s empowerment, thus promoting the integration of a gender equality perspective in everyday work and with a view to bring about behavioral change.

The e-course is tailored to address thematic topics relevant to UNODC’s mandated areas of work— across the three pillars of its work programme (normative work, research and analytical work, as well as field-based technical cooperation projects to enhance the capacity of Member States to counteract illicit drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism). The target audience is all UN personnel as well as relevant stakeholders working in these areas.
