INTERPOL, UN Women and UNODC are launching a new research report, Women in Law Enforcement in the ASEAN Region, with the generous support of the Government of Canada.
The Report explores the experiences and views of women police officers from across the ASEAN region, and provides a snapshot of the current state of affairs with respect to the recruitment, training, deployment and promotion of women police officers, as well as insights into policies and practices that support or hinder the participation of women in law enforcement.
The webinar will present the key finding of the Report, highlighting the importance of promoting women in law enforcement for increased operational effectiveness, and encourage commitments in implementing the recommendations of the Report in the ASEAN region. Women law enforcement officers will join the webinar to share how this report resonates with their unique experiences.
